Bell
Bay is
the latest masterpiece by Thomas McBroom - a world class golf facility
located in the picturesque Cape Breton village of Baddeck (83
km from the Canso Causeway or 85 km from Sydney). The breathtaking scenery
and warm hospitality are the perfect complement for one of the best
golf courses in Eastern Canada.
Tom
McBroom has brought to Bell Bay the same award winning artistry that
created The Links at Crowbush Cove (PEI), Le Géant at Mont Tremblant
(Quebec), the Lake Joseph Club (Ont.) and Morgan Creek (BC). His canny
ability to blend a course into natural surroundings have made Bell Bay
both a scenic pleasure and golfing challenge. The Clubhouse takes in
a panoramic view of sparkling Baddeck Bay, Alexander Graham Bell's beautiful
estate, the opening & closing holes and a first class practice facility.
Eminently walkable, four distinct teeing areas per hole have been provided
to ensure challenging and enjoyable golf for players of all skill levels.
Bentgrass tees, greens and fairways, bluegrass rough and white sand
bunkers add definition and contrast to the beautifully sculpted USGA
greens. Tom McBroom has taken the best advantage of the natural features
of the land, creating eighteen very distinctive and memorable golf holes.
Featuring
the largest practice area East of Montreal, this spikeless golf facility,
boasts a 50,000 square foot Practice Tee. Their Golf Academy offers
3 day, 2 Day and 1 Day schools. They also have a Holiday package which
includes a Green Fee, Power Cart and Lunch for $79 plus tax, per person.
Bell Bay plays as a Par 72, championship layout with yardage of : 7,037
(black - slope 137) ; 6,520 (blue) ; 6,076 (white) ; 5,165 (red).
