Nestled in the french Acadian community of Clare, this course offers the combination of a charming rustic clubhouse and a truly challenging layout for golfers of all abilities. Known as "The Friendly Club", Clare G&CC possesses a full variety of golf holes with distinctive character and beauty. Until recently, this layout has been one of Nova Scotia's best kept secrets ! With the addition of their new Club House, Clare has further added to its reputation as a full service facility.

The Municipality of Clare is a delightful place to be a tourist. Visit the largest wooden church in North America, attend the oldest Acadian Festival in the Atlantic Provinces, browse through the only degree granting French University in Nova Scotia, the shipyard at Meteghan River, the beautiful sandy beach at Mavillette and the fishing fleet at Meteghan or Saulnierville wharf. Hike, deep sea fish, shop for local art and crafts, dig clams at low tide, go whale watching, visit local museums, eat fresh sea food or our unique dish,"pate à la rapture" (rappie pie), at one of the many restaurants.

Named for County Clare in Ireland, Clare is home to 9,700 people, most of whom are descendants of the first European settlers who came from France in the early 1600's. Scattered by the Expulsion in 1755, many of these Acadians settled from the shore of Baie Ste-Marie to as far as Louisiana.
